Helps with finger dexterity, finder speed, finger chord placement, Chord change-ups, and even soundless strumming patterns practice.

Construction: Hard plastic casing. The top plastic slides down to reveal a wooden 6 fret neck. It is strung with 6 mini guitar string with appropriate thickness, yet it is not meant to be tuned-only tightened. Remember, this does not make a sound. Understand that before buying.

Why did I get one? Good question. I wanted some work with my chord changeups and scales. That is my downfall. So I thought that it might help me out with that when I go places that one can't be too terribly loud to practice such things such as work, walks, airports, planes, hotels, in front of the television, and even when I am hiking trails. It fit easily in my backpack . It is a strang tool, yet I find some function in it. I get practice establishing muscle memory when I normally wouldn't be on a real guitar and so the little silent practice does have its benefits.

It comes with replacement strings and Allen wrench for installing new strings. And it comes with a velvet-like drawstring bag.

My son just started guitar class and the teacher recommended this chord practice tool. I didn’t take it too seriously until I saw the real rosewood board and the guitar strings. It is a delicate little tool for my kids to learn guitar. Hope it will help him to learn quickly and bring a lot of fun.

What a complete waste of money this is. I assumed that, at the very least, you could “tune” the strings.
It’s a cheap piece of plastic that doesn’t resemble a guitar at all.
The fingerboard is a cheap wood, the fret ends are sharp, the action doesn’t resemble a regular guitar action in the least bit. I am not sure what you would practice with this hunk of junk.0
I wonder what good would this do to a beginner who is unsure of the chord shapes to begin with.

THIS IS NOT AN INSTRUMENT!

This is for practicing your chords or fingering for a guitar, and does not make a pleasant sound if strummed. This is a neat tool to use on the go, if you're waiting in line at the DMV, passing time in a waiting room or something like that. It's great in the sense that you don't have to disturb other people around you while pracitcing.

Also would recommend if you want to teach your kid how to play guitar, this is a great way to start. No need to buy them an instrument if they don't have the dedication to learn chords. So you have them practice on this until they learn muscle memory of the main chords and then you can buy them a guitar.

I gave 4 stars because the outside is a little cheapy feeling plastic. But for what it is, it works great! Also comes with an extra set of strings in case you break one.
